Once we receive your order, we will deliver it to your school.

INSTRUMENTS: All of the instruments are either made in Europe or the United States. Most of the strings, accessories and components are from Europe and the United States. They are fitted here and in Europe, and the final measurements and set-up are done here in Keene. All of the rental instruments are above the minimal standard rental quality, and most are far superior to any instrument you will find in any company's rental program.

ACOUSTIC BASS INSTRUMENTS:

Reward the student with beautiful tone and sound. This is accomplished by having a quality instrument with professional strings.
Reward the student with an instrument, which is easy to play. This is accomplished by having an instrument with a professional set-up and correct measurements.
Reward the student and teacher with an easily tunable instrument that stays in tune. This is accomplished by attention to the pegs and the highest quality fine tuners.
Ensure maximum time for students and teachers to actually learn and play their stringed instruments and to accomplish their goals, as opposed to some lesser-quality instruments that sound horrible, go out of tune, and frustrate both teacher and student by wasting valuable time!

*Plus insurance & 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax. Automatic monthly payment requires a valid credit card.

All rentals are rent-to-own. 100% goes towards the instrument that you are renting, and 50% may be transferred to the next size up. Acoustic bass does sell instruments and has some previously rented instruments available at discounted prices, and Acoustic Bass will buy back instruments.

Required Extras for Violin:

These are required for all violin and viola students. This device makes it easier and more comfortable for the student to play. Our shoulder rests are adjustable, and can be used for the next size up. Cost $25.00.

Required Extras for Cello:

These are required for all cello students. This device makes it easier for the student to play. We offer two kinds, one for $10.00 and another for $15.00

Insurance:

Insurance covers lost, theft, or accidents. It does not cover damage through misuse, horsing around, or negligence. The deductible is $30.00 for violin and viola, $60.00 for cello. Acoustic Bass will provide replacement strings at no cost to the renters, bridge work and peg work.

Problems:

If you have a problem with your instrument, just call Acoustic Bass at (781) 648-6355, (603) 357-6479, or email them, and either arrange an appointment, or Acoustic Bass will come to your school. The instrument will be fixed on the spot, or a replacement instrument will be given.

Rental Equity:

All students build rental equity on their rental instruments providing they are not late in payments, and continue to rent over the summer. 100% of the rental goes towards the instrument being rented, or 50% towards another instrument or the next size up. This does include woodwinds and brass if the student chooses to switch and wants to use their rental equity towards another instrument.

Rental Returns:

Students may return instruments early. They need only call Acoustic Bass. There is no refund for time not used on the instrument. Acoustic Bass also will come by the school the last 2 weeks that school is in session to pick up any rental to be returned. Please make sure your instrument is clearly labeled.

Better Instruments:

Acoustic bass does provide step-up instruments of even higher quality if desired, and a selection of hand-made instruments for students to try on approval. 50% of previous rental may be used on the instruments. Please call for details.
